Boca Raton, FL (October 2018) – As the most esteemed and well-respected arts and cultural hub in West Boca, The Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center’s Sandler Center presents the very best in art, theater, film, adult education and literary events this November, and throughout the year.  The Sandler Center goes beyond just programming and sets out to create a meaningful relationship between education, cultural sectors, and its community.

Pre-Festival Screening of Lives Well-Lived

Judy Levis Markhoff Boca Raton Jewish Film Festival runs from March 10 – 31, 2019 and will present a wide variety of thought-provoking and entertaining Jewish-themed films from around the globe.  

 

WHAT:           This documentary by Sky Bergman celebrates the incredible wit and wisdom of adults 75-100-years old who are living their lives to the fullest.  Encompassing over 3,000 years of experience, forty people share their secrets and insights to living meaningful life.

Late Fall Exhibition: Envisioning Miracles 

National Association of Women Artists – Florida Chapter

WHAT:           Professional female artists are juried in through the national organization and then become active in their local chapter. The Rosen Gallery welcomes “Envisioning Miracles,” the first NAWA-FL exhibit at the Levis JCC Sandler Center.

At Home World Premiere! 

“Theater at the J” is the Levis JCC Sandler Center’s black box stage theater, presents professional award-winning musicals, comedy, drama and cabarets in addition to giving members of our community the opportunity to participate in professional-quality theater onstage, backstage, and from the audience.  

 

WHAT:           At Home is a World Premiere by Award-Winning Playwright Dan Clancy, the genius behind Timekeepers and Middletown.  Presented by West Boca Theatre Company. At Home invites the audience into the lives of the Reddington family over a period of 50 years. Their story begins when Esther Silver from the Bronx meets Michael Reddington from Brooklyn in their senior year at Teachers College. They move into Michael’s family home where they raise their two children.
