City of Boca Raton

The City of Boca Raton is popular with locals and travelers to Florida. First settled back in 1895, the
settlement quickly transformed into a small agricultural community, with tourism introduced in the
1920s. It is now home to over 90,000 people.

The city is known to locals simply as Boca and is teaming with beautiful beaches, golf courses, fine
hotels and art museums. You’ll discover amazing shopping experiences – with 220 upscale and elite
specialty shops to explore at the mall, or a range of boutique shops throughout the town; and dining
at its finest with some of the best restaurants in the South!

Located on the Atlantic Ocean as the southernmost city in Palm Beach County, the city’s beaches
provide the ultimate summer outlet for families, while the well designed parks are great to visit all
year round. It is home to some of the country’s finest colleges, golf courses, luxury resorts and high
class restaurants.

You’ll find information on the website about travel to the area, the weather, businesses, the
government departments and how they may assist you, online and city services – anything you need
to know about your visit to, or life within Boca Raton.
