The Wick Theatre

The Wick in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County is home to both the Wick Theatre, which produces Broadway quality musicals with award-winning casts; and the Costume Museum – internationally renowned and a valuable part of film and theatre history.

Owned by Marilynn A. Wick, who also founded Costume World, the largest distributor of theatrical products in the United States, The Wick was formerly the Caldwell Theatre Company. It was purchased in 2013 and transformed into the building that stands today, opening with an inaugural production of The Sound of Music.

The Wick also houses the Costume Museum, which opened in 2013 and is an exhibit of some of the finest Broadway stage costumers and a great portrayal of the history of American Musical Theatre. You’ll be able to see exquisite designs for costumes from over 35 productions and revivals, with the total value said to be around $20 million.

See costumes from Titanic, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Camelot, Dracula, My Fair Lady, and more. Tours of the museum are generally available 7-days a week by appointment only and include a meal at the elegant Tavern Room, a loving homage to the famed Tavern-on- the-Green.®

If you don’t have time to visit the museum, the theatre lobby has exhibits that reflect the main stage production showing at the time of your visit, as well as film and television wardrobes (available for loan) from the Costume World vaults.
