Since 1971, Florence Fuller Child Development Centers (FFCDC) has been a comprehensive, transformational community cornerstone providing education to children and families, ages six weeks to twelve years, who would otherwise go without.
All proceeds will directly impact our community’s most vulnerable children and their families through the power of education. Here is a little story about just one such family. Recently, the East Campus took in a set of 6-week-old triplets. They were beautiful, tiny little babies, all born premature and needing special care. Their mom and dad worked very long, hard hours to provide for them and build a future for three children – two more than they had planned for! During a home visit from a member of the FFCDC staff to the family’s apartment, our teacher was greeted with an enormous, heartfelt hug from the triplets’ grandmother who was there watching them. She said to our teacher: “The Florence Fuller Center is our saving grace. My son and his wife work so hard all day and night. I work too, and I can only watch the babies in the evenings and on the weekends. There’s no one else. There’s no one who can care for them like your teachers do all day every weekday. We don’t know what we’d do without you.”
