In honor and memory of Zoe Loren, all proceeds from this event will be used for educational scholarships and to provide opportunities for growth and enrichment to under-served children in Palm Beach County. Please visit www.zoeloren.org to learn more about our non-profit foundation.

A Message from Zoe Loren’s parent, Evonn:

“Our daughter Zoe was a junior at Suncoast HS when she passed away suddenly due to a rare form of encephalitis. Zoe was joyful, smart and from a very young age, cared deeply about the world around her. We created the Zoe Loren ‘Make a Difference’ Foundation as a way to honor Zoe and her passion for helping others.

Since 2011 we have donated over $150,000.00 in scholarships and grants to a diverse cross section of students and organizations in our area. The Mission of the Zoe Loren Foundation is to celebrate Zoe’s life by providing children in Palm Beach County opportunities for education and enrichment.

Each year we provide scholarships to two Meyer Academy students with financial need. In addition, we provide partial college tuition scholarships to 2 – 3 PBC HS seniors. The HS scholarship winners demonstrate financial need, have a B or above average and have far exceeded the 20 hour requirement for volunteer hours. Most of our recipients have performed over 100 service hours.

In addition to the annual scholarships, we provide grants to after school programs for under-served children in our community. These are at-risk children in income strained families living at or below the poverty line. For the past two years we funded a comprehensive summer art program at The Achievement Centers for Children and Families in Delray Beach, which included the salary for a summer art teacher and all art supplies.

We also provided funds for eighty children at the Edna Runner Tutorial Center in Jupiter to enjoy two science based field trips. Travis Conway, the Program Director at Edna Runner wrote,” I would like to say a big THANK YOU to you and everyone at the foundation for touching so many young minds this summer. This summer was truly one for the books. Our students and staff had the best time at Billie Swamp and Miami Seaquarium. For many of our students, this was their first time on a charter bus and also their first time out of Palm Beach County.”

Most recently, we awarded a grant to Faith’s Place in West Palm Beach, for their summer camp science program.

Our main fundraiser is an annual 5K Run/Walk in Carlin Park, Jupiter, FL. The race is along a beautiful ocean course on A1A. There is also a 100 yard dash, a 1 mile fun run, face painting, a silent auction, refreshments and great music! The first 350 participants receive a tech race shirt.
