Tony Award Winning Playwright of Dear Evan Hansen

Boca Raton, FL (January 22, 2019) – The Levis JCC Sandler Center is proud to welcome Steven Levenson, the Tony Award Winning Playwright of Dear Evan Hansen, on Monday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m.  Steven Levenson offers guests a peek into how the story developed, what it’s like to watch his work grow from an idea to a smash Broadway hit, and shares his perspective on the message of the show – and now the novel – delivers.

This moving and ultimately inspiring story carries its message of hope and belonging beyond theater audiences to readers.  It tells the story of a young man with social difficulties that limit his ability to connect and make friends, and the lengths he will take to feel a sense of belonging.  A simple lie leads to complicated truths in this coming-of-age story of grief, authenticity and the struggle to feel a part of something in an age of instant connectivity and deep isolation.  Guests will have a unique opportunity to participate in what’s become a movement – #youwillbefound resonates with students, parents, and communities everywhere.

Dear Evan Hansen, the groundbreaking musical, won six Tony Awards and the 2018 Grammy award for Best Musical.

‘An Evening with Steven Levenson’ will be hosted in Zinman Hall 9801 Donna Klein Blvd. in Boca Raton.  $50 VIP Seating/$36 General Admission and includes the book. $18 Student Tickets (book not included).
