Boca Raton, FL–The SYMPHONIA, South Florida’s world-class chamber orchestra, will kick off the 2019-2020 Marleen Forkas Connoisseur Concert Series on Sunday,  December 8 at 3 p.m. The Guest Conductor is Alastair Willis, and, as part of The SYMPHONIA’s ‘Celebrating Women in Music’ series, the concert will also feature Robyn Marie Lamp, Soprano Soloist.  The performance includes works from Copland, Barber, Wagner and Respighi.

The concert will be held at Roberts Theater at Saint Andrew’s School, 3900 Jog Road, Boca Raton at 3 p.m, and ticket-holders can enjoy a Pre-Concert Conversation with Willis at 2 p.m.

Grammy-nominated conductor Alastair Willis is currently the Music Director of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, and has guest conducted orchestras around the world, including several with The SYMPHONIA.

Soprano Robyn Marie Lamp’s performances are earning her recognition and roles from rare Bel Canto gems to well-known classics. Her voice has been described as “robust, easily produced, golden but warm rather than metallic.”
