Lake Worth, FL –The 3rd Annual Art of Recovery film festival will be held in Lake Worth August 2-4. The three-day event will focus on sober living and recovery. Recovering addicts and alcoholics from all over Florida will come together to raise money and awareness for addicts using art as their form of therapy to heal and grow. All Art of Recovery Film Festival events are free and open to the public.
An art exhibit will be on display at the HATCH Center, 1121 Lucerne Avenue, Lake Worth beginning Friday, August 2 at 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on August 4. The film festival will be held at the Stonzak Theater at the Lake Worth Playhouse, 713 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth. A majority of the films will be screened Saturday, August 3.
Beneficiaries of the film festival are For the Children Inc. and Arms Of Hope, both of Lake Worth.
“This our third film festival and I couldn’t be more excited to share with everyone how our idea has grown,” said founder Manny Mendez.
Last year, Manny Mendez and his team were able to raise over $2500. This year they hope to raise even more.
“A special thank you goes out to all of our sponsors,” said Manny Mendez. “This wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.”
