Death or Glory at 116 N.E. 6th Avenue in Delray Beach is holding an Ugly Sweater Party December 2 from 6-8 p.m. as part of the Miracle Holiday Pop Up Bar.  Anyone who doesn’t have an ugly sweater can bring a plain sweater, sweatshirt, t shirt or tank top or purchase a Christmas t-shirt at Death or Glory, and local fashion designer, Amanda Perna will help them decorate it at no charge. Perna says she will be making “fabulous, fun, over the top sweaters, embellishing them with pom poms, tassels, tinsel and holiday patches.” Perna’s Christmas earrings and accessories will be for sale at the event, as well.

Miracle locations around the globe will have their own Ugly Sweater Parties December 2, making it the largest combined ugly sweater gathering the world has ever seen. Guests are encouraged to don festive garb (the tackier, the better) and post the ‘evidence’ on social media.

Delray’s Amanda Perna honed her craft while designing for Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein. She launched her own brand, The House of Perna, which has been sold internationally to major retailers including Anthropologie, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, BHLDN and more.  And Amanda appeared on two seasons of the hit TV series Project Runway.
In late 2018, Amanda launched a second brand, Neon Bohemians, which debuted at Nordstrom. Inspired by her young daughter’s love of fashion, in 2019, Amanda became a published author with her first children’s book, F is for Fashion, an illustrated book of ABCs for kids.

About Miracle Holiday Bar
Started in 2014 in New York City, Miracle will again spread holiday cheer as it celebrates its sixth anniversary in more than 100 locations around the world.

The concept for Miracle was born when, upon the advice of his mother, New York’s Greg Boehm decided to halt construction of what was to become his new East Village cocktail bar Mace. He transformed the unfinished space into a pop-up bar serving holiday-themed drinks dripping with festive décor. As crowds swarmed the NYC location, Boehm’s friends throughout the bar industry asked how they could recreate the holiday magic in their own bars and expansion became inevitable.
Joann Spiegel, General Manager of Mace is the mastermind behind Miracle’s cocktails and will once again roll out a menu of surprising Christmas concoctions. Expect unique and unusual cocktails that play on classic holiday flavors in playful mugs and glassware, from Snowball Old-Fashioned and Run Run Rudolph, to the Christmapolitan and now classic Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r!, created by mixologist Nico de Soto.
All cocktails will be served in Cocktail Kingdom®’s custom Miracle glassware, from mugs to coupes, highballs and rocks glasses. Death or Glory will have glassware available for purchase with 10% of all sales donated to Action Against Hunger – making the perfect gift that keeps on giving.
